Salva shut the city in with a great army, bull of the Bharatas, and broke up the groves and the pleasure gardens all around it. He came at the gate towers and the gates, the palaces and watchtowers and terraces, the pleasure houses and the fine flying cars; and showers of weapons fell on them, rocks and trees and thunderbolts, snakes, hail in sheets. A fierce whirlwind rose, and the quarters were covered over with dust. So Krsna's city, hard pressed by Saubha, could come by no peace, king, any more than the earth could while the Triple City stood. The Bhagavan Pradyumna, seeing his own people harried, a hero of great fame, mounted his chariot and told them: Do not be afraid.
