While the brahmin sage was reviling him so, Phalguna took his stand on his knowledge and went at once to Samyamani, where the revered Yama is. Not seeing the brahmin's child there, he went to Indra's city, then to Agni's, to Nirrti's, to Soma's, to Vayu's, to Varuna's, and to Rasatala, and to the back of heaven, and to other seats, with his weapon raised. Then, not having got the brahmin's son and not having carried out what he had promised, he wished to enter the fire; and Krsna held him back and answered him. I shall show you the brahmin's sons. Do not despise yourself with your own self. These men will set up our fame unstained.

Having spoken so with Arjuna, the Bhagavan, the Lord, mounted his own chariot of heaven and set out into the western quarter.
