Bhagavan said: Attentive to the duties that are his own, which I have laid down, and taking his shelter in me, let a man keep the practice of his class, his stage and his family, with no wanting in him. With his self made clean, let him look closely at how everything embodied beings set their hand to comes out the other way round, when, with their minds on things, they dwell on what the strands make as though it were real. What a sleeping man sees of things, or the daydream of one who muses, bears no fruit, because it is made of many; and so is the thinking, made by the strands, that takes the self as divided. Given over to me, let him keep to the work that turns back and let go the work that reaches out. One who has fully set out on the wish to know need not defer to the calls to act.
