Verse 9

⁹I am the self, Uddhava, of these beings, their friend and their lord. I am all beings, and I am their standing, their coming to be and their passing away. ¹⁰I am the going of those that go, and time among those that measure. I am the balance among the strands, and in what holds the strands I am the quality born with it. ¹¹Among those that hold the strands I am the thread, and among great things the great principle. Among fine things I am the living self, and among things hard to beat I am the mind.
