Nothing is found apart from me· Verses 37–41

Earth, wind, space, water, fire; I am the great principle, change, the Person, the unmanifest; passion, clarity, darkness, and what is beyond them. I am this reckoning up, this knowledge, this settling of what is real. Without me, who am the Lord and the living self, the strand and the holder of the strand, no thing at all is found anywhere, by any means, in anything whatever. The atoms can be counted by me in time; my showings of power cannot be counted so, since I send out world-eggs by the ten million. Splendour, beauty, fame, lordship, modesty, giving away, good fortune and fortune itself, manly force, patience, full knowing: wherever any of these is, it is a portion of me.

All these showings of power have been named to you in short. They are changes of the mind only, in the way that speech puts them.
