27One in whom trust has come up in the tellings of me, who is weary of all works, who knows desires to be pain in their very nature, and yet cannot let them go: 28he should then worship me, glad, trusting, firmly settled, even while he goes after those desires and blames them as things that end in pain. 29For the sage who worships me again and again by the yoga of devotion as it has been told, the desires that lie in his heart are destroyed, all of them, once I stand in that heart. 30The knot of the heart is broken open, every doubt is cut through, and his works wear away, once I have been seen, the self of everything. 31So for the yogin joined to devotion to me, whose self is mine, neither knowledge nor detachment is, for the most part, his good here.
32Whatever is got by works, whatever by austerity, whatever from knowledge and detachment, by yoga, by giving and by dharma, and by the other goods besides: 33all of it one devoted to me gets easily by the yoga of devotion to me, and heaven and release and my own abode, if in any way he should want them.
