Having been shown the way of yoga in this manner, and hearing then the words of him whose renown is highest, he folded his hands, his throat stopped with love, and said nothing at all, his eyes brimming with tears. Steadying by firmness a mind reeling with love, king, and holding him high, with folded hands he spoke to that foremost hero of the Yadus, touching his lotus feet with his head. The great blind darkness of delusion that had taken hold of me has been driven off by your being near. What can cold, or darkness, or fear do to one who has come close to the fire, unborn first one? The lamp made of full knowing has been given back to me, your servant, by you in your pity. Knowing what has been done for me, who would leave the sole of your foot and go to any other shelter, one of your own?

And the very firm rope of my affection has been cut, my affection for the Dasarhas, the Vrsnis, the Andhakas and the Satvatas, a rope you stretched out by your own maya for the increase of the making, and cut with the weapon which is a good knowing of the self. Salutation to you, great yogin. Teach me, who have come to you, so that my delight in your lotus feet may be one that does not fall away.
