¹⁶Killing Brhadratha the Maurya in the Kali age, his own commander, Pusyamitra, called the Sunga, will take the kingship himself. From him Agnimitra, and after that Sujyestha will be. ¹⁷Vasumitra and Bhadraka, and then Pulinda will be. Then Ghosa his son, and from him Vajramitra will come. ¹⁸Then Bhagavata, and from him the one known as Devabhuti. These ten Sungas will hold the ground for more than a hundred years.
