Of the Magadhas there will be Visvasphurji, a conqueror of cities. Another sort of man, he will turn the classes into Pulindas, Yadus and Madrakas, and this wrong-minded one will set up a people with hardly a brahmin among them. Strong, having torn out the kshatriyas, from the city Padmavati he will hold the guarded land along the Ganga as far as Prayaga. Saurastras, Avantyas, Abhiras, Suras, Arbudas, Malavas: the twice-born will go without their rites, and those who rule the people will be little better than sudras. The bank of the Sindhu, the Candrabhaga, Kaunti, the circle of Kasmira: sudras, men fallen from their rites, and barbarians with no brightness of the Veda in them will hold these.
