Prthu, Pururavas, Gadhi, Nahusa, Bharata, Arjuna; Mandhatr, Sagara, Rama, Khatvanga, the killer of Dhundhu, Raghu; Trnabindu and Yayati, Saryati, Santanu, Gaya; Bhagiratha, Kuvalayasva, Kakutstha, the Naisadha, Nrga; Hiranyakasipu, Vrtra, Ravana who set the worlds wailing; Namuci, Sambara, Bhauma, Hiranyaksa, and then Taraka; and many other Daityas, and kings who were great lords. Every one of them knew everything and was brave; every one conquered everything and was not conquered. They held me as their own and made much of it, and their nature was to die. Time has left them as story and nothing more, mighty one, and made them men who never got what they came for.
