19It has no qualities such as change that come with the parts of time. It is without beginning or end, unshown, everlasting, the cause, and never wears out. 20Where there are no words, no mind, no clarity, no darkness or passion, none of these things that begin with the great principle; no breath, no understanding, no senses or their gods; no putting together into the shape of a world; 21where there is no dreaming and no waking and no deep sleep either, no space, water, earth, wind, fire or sun: like something deep asleep, like something empty, not to be reasoned out, they hand it down as the ground and the standing-place of it all.
22This is the dissolution that belongs to Nature: when the powers of the Person and of the unshown melt away together, having no say in it, scattered by time.
