So, lord, take hold of the self that stands in the self, by the self alone, with an understanding that carries inference in it, and by thinking, one thought after another, of Vasudeva. Taksaka, sent by a brahmin's word, will not burn you. Deaths do not burn up the Lord, who is the death of deaths. I am Brahman, the highest home; Brahman am I, the highest place. Looking at yourself in this way, and having set the self in the self, in what has no part, you will not see Taksaka biting your foot and licking with his poisoned mouths, nor the body, nor the world, as anything other than the self. This has been told you, dear one, as you yourself asked, king: the doings of Hari, the self of everything. What more do you wish to hear?
