In plain words

The cowherd girls, waking a friend who is new to the Lord: The birds are calling too, see! Have you not heard the great sound of the white conch calling in the temple of the Lord of Garuḍa, king of birds? Girl, new to him, get up! The sages and the yogis hold in their hearts the one who drank the poison at the ogress's breast [Pūtanā's], who kicked out his foot until the deceitful cart [a demon in its shape] was shaken apart and destroyed, who settled into sleep on the serpent in the flood [of the Sea of Milk], the seed of all; they rise slowly, so as not to stir him within, and the great sound of their saying "Hari" has entered our hearts and cooled them. Take it up and heed it, girl of ours.
