In plain words
The cowherd girls, waking a girl whom Kṛṣṇa himself longs for: The eastern sky has turned white, and the buffaloes, let out for a while to graze on the dewy grass, have spread over the fields, see! We held back all the other girls, who were going for the sake of going, and have come and stand at your door to call you. O lovely girl whom he so eagerly loves, get up! Let us sing and receive the drum: if we go and worship the God of gods [the Lord of the eternal attendants, nityasūris], who split the mouth of the horse [the demon Kēśi] and destroyed the wrestlers [Cāṇūra and Muṣṭika], he will look into our need, say "Ah, ah!", and show us grace. Take it up and heed it, girl of ours.
