In plain words
The cowherd girls, waking the sister of a cowherd who is always at Kṛṣṇa's side: O sister of the cowherd whose wealth is the finest, service to Kṛṣṇa! His buffaloes with young calves low, with none to milk them, and, tender towards their calves and thinking of them, stand with milk streaming from their udders until the house is wet through and turned to mud. With the dew falling on our heads we hold to the frame of your door, and while we sing of the one who is sweet to the heart, who in his anger [at the parting of Sītā] destroyed the king of southern Laṅkā [Rāvaṇa], you will not even open your mouth. Get up now, at least! What is this great sleep? Every household knows of it now. Take it up and heed it, girl of ours.
