शिवेरुष्टेगुरुस्त्राता ।गुरौरुष्टेनकश्चन ॥लब्ध्वाकुलगुरुंसम्यक् ।गुरुमेवसमाश्रयेत् ॥

When Śiva is angry the guru is the one who saves; when the guru is angry there is no one at all. Having found the guru of the lineage in due form, let one take refuge in the guru alone.
