In plain words
Having crossed the limit of speech and the measure of meaning, the boundary of both kinds as well, you dance in the upright minds of those who forget themselves and think of you, and in the Hall at Tillai, Lord of the Hall! Great One, on the day you joined in sacred marriage with the sacred maiden of the king of the lofty mountain, the sacred younger sister of blue-bodied Viṣṇu, your own people sang by right of your emblems: your koṉṟai garland loosing its pollen, your flawless banner of the heroic white bull, the damaru drum that thunders in battle, the divine river Gaṅgā with its roaring sound, the command free of falsehood called Viraiyākkali, the elephant white of hue and red of eye with its two thousand great tusks ranged row upon row, the Vedic horse with its measure of song, the heavenly land, the stainless golden great mountain Meru, and the ancient great city that is Tillai of the tilled fields. They sang your ten thousand long and sacred names too, and entering the sacred wedding pavilion ahead of the immortals, they laid aṟuku grass. In the long ruled book where the names of your own people are written, I beseech you that I too be written. For if the command of your aruḷ is laid upon it, even an atom no eye can see will rise up to touch the sky and show itself, and even the pale gnat of the forest will become Garuḍa.
Line by line
The limit of speech and the measure of meaning, the boundary of both kinds too, having crossed, those who, forgetting themselves, think of you, in their upright minds and in the Tillai Hall, the dance you dance, O Lord of the Hall! Of the lofty mountain's king, his sacred daughter, the sacred younger sister of blue-bodied Viṣṇu, on the day you joined in sacred marriage, O Great One, your koṉṟai garland loosing its pollen, and the flawless heroic white-bull banner, and in battle the thundering damaru drum, and of roaring sound the divine Gaṅgā river, and falsehood-free the command called Viraiyākkali, and row upon row two thousand arranged, with great tusks, the white-coloured red-eyed elephant, and of musical measure the Vedic horse, and the heavenly land, and the stainless golden great mountain Meru, and the ancient great city which is Tillai of tilled fields: thus, and the one ten thousand sacred long names singing by right, in the sacred wedding pavilion, entering ahead of the immortals, placing aṟuku grass, your own people's names written, in the long ruled book, me too to be written I beseech. Your aruḷ command if placed, even an atom that cannot be seen will rise up to touch the sky and show itself, and the pale gnat of the forest too becomes Garuḍa: because of that.
