Poem 34

In plain words

Ruler, Lord of the Hall at sacred Tillai, whom the Vedic people worship as their life and their treasure! Those who bow down to anything other than you do not know it: is it not some who would have died that very day, had you not swallowed the poison of the sea, that they worship as gods?

Line by line

As their life and as their treasure the Vedic people worship, O Ruler! O One of the sacred Tillai Hall! Other than you, anything those who bow to, they do not know: the sea's poison if you had not eaten, that very day some who would die, is it not, whom they worship as god, indeed.
