In plain words

Yaśōdā says to the women near her: "O ladies, full of every good quality, if he lies in the cradle, he kicks till it falls apart; if I take him on my hip, he all but breaks my side; if I hold him still and clasp him to my breast, he kicks out at my belly. And since his tender body has no strength to bear such doings, I have grown thin with worry."
