In plain words
The poet, to those who name their children: If you give your children the names of local men, saying Nampi, Pimpi, all the standing those names carry, nampi and pimpi, perishes and is gone within four days. You who are complete in understanding, if you give them the name of the one whose eyes are like large red lotuses and call them by it, the mother of a child called Nārāyaṇa will never enter hell.
