In plain words

One who once sought wealth, now come to serve, speaking for the many: He gave me fine rice amid abundant ghee, service always close at his side, betel from his own hand, ornaments for my neck and earrings for my ears, and fine sandal paste to put on my body, and so had the power to make even me a pure soul. To him whose banner bears Garuḍa, the enemy of the hooded serpent, I sing "many years".
