Ghoṣā
Ghoṣā was a king's daughter who grew old in her father's house, without kin of her own and without a husband. She called on the twin gods, the Aśvins, the healers, to stand by her day and night, and the Ṛgveda, the Veda of sacred hymns, remembers that they gave her a husband. Two of its hymns to the Aśvins are hers, and in one of them she names herself.
