The poet, to the people of the world: Go quickly and worship Kaṇṇaṉ, who long ago, when the flood of the deluge spread, hid the worlds within him, guarded them and saved them. Hearing the songs and dances of his devotees, who go everywhere, the doors at the gates of cruel hell have fallen away.
