The works of Ādi Śaṅkarācārya

Advaitānubhūtiḥ

Verse 37

In plain words

When the gaps in the rope-mesh close and are gone, the sunlight that poured through them is not gone. So when this field, this body, breaks up — and another, and another — I am not broken. I am everywhere.

Close to the Sanskrit

In the destructions of those rope-holes the sun's light does not perish at all; so too, in the destructions of the field, I, the all-pervading, do not perish at all.
