तथायमात्मवद्भाति जाग्रद्देहस्तु जागरात् ।जाग्रद्देहविनाशेन नात्मा नश्यति कर्हिचित् ॥ ४६ ॥

In just the same way, this looks like the Self — the waking body seems to be you, and it seems so because you are awake. But when that waking body is destroyed, the ātman does not die. Not ever.
Close to the Sanskrit
In just that way this appears as the Self; but the waking body does so because of the waking state. By the destruction of the waking body the Self does not perish at any time whatsoever.
