In plain words
The sun shines, and in its shining you see the sun afloat in the water, the water itself, and every ripple across it. This Self shines exactly so: by its light there appear the reflected awareness, the mind that holds it, and the mind's doership and all that follows.
Close to the Sanskrit
Illuminating the sun standing in the water, the water, and the wave, the sun shines; in the same way this one [the Self illuminates] the reflection of the Self, the intellect, and the intellect's doership and the rest.
