In plain words
Abundant bhakti to you? Not mine — my mind will not hold still. And yet you, radiant one, must look on me now with compassion: the raincloud lets its sweet water fall straight into the cātaka's mouth. And I keep wondering, hard: by what workings was my mind ever won over?
Close to the Sanskrit
Although abundant bhakti to you is not mine, whose mind is restless, still by you, the glorious one, I am now to be looked upon with compassion. The cloud bestows sweet water into the mouth of the cātaka bird. Strongly do I wonder: by what workings has my mind been won over?
