The works of Ādi Śaṅkarācārya

Aparokṣānubhūtiḥ

Verse 123

ब्रह्मैवास्मीति सद्वृत्त्या निरालम्बतया स्थितिः ।ध्यानशब्देन विख्याता परमानन्ददायिनी ॥ १२३ ॥

In plain words

To stay in the one true movement of the mind — "I am Brahman, nothing else" — leaning on nothing at all: that abiding is what the word dhyāna names, and it gives the bliss beyond which there is nothing.

Close to the Sanskrit

The abiding, by the true mental mode 'I am Brahman alone,' in the manner of supportlessness, is known by the word 'meditation,' the giver of supreme bliss.
