The works of Ādi Śaṅkarācārya

Aparokṣānubhūtiḥ

Verse 35

In plain words

The Puruṣa Sūkta declares that all is Puruṣa alone. The Self it reveals cannot therefore be reduced to this individual body.

Close to the Sanskrit

Since Śruti also declares in the hymn called Puruṣa, ‘All is Puruṣa alone,’ how could the body be Puruṣa?
