The works of Ādi Śaṅkarācārya

Aparokṣānubhūtiḥ

Verse 78

In plain words

When your eyes are spinning, everything you look at spins. In just that way, someone sees body-ness in the ātman — and it comes only from contact with ignorance.

Close to the Sanskrit

By the two eyes, which are given to whirling, everything appears to be whirling in nature; in the same way, one sees body-ness in the Self, through association with ignorance.
