The works of Ādi Śaṅkarācārya

Aparokṣānubhūtiḥ

Verse 80

In plain words

Everything out there is large, yet from far enough off it shrinks to a speck. Just so, one looks at the Self and sees a body — that comes of being joined to ignorance.

Close to the Sanskrit

Although all things are large, minuteness indeed appears from very far away; in the same way one sees bodyhood in the Self, through connection with ignorance.
