The works of Ādi Śaṅkarācārya

Aparokṣānubhūtiḥ

Verse 92

In plain words

The karma carried over from an earlier birth, the karma they call prārabdha — that, for the puruṣa, simply does not exist, and never did. There was no other birth for it to come from.

Close to the Sanskrit

That karma belonging to another birth, which is proclaimed as 'prārabdha' — that, however, because of the absence of another birth, does not exist at all for the person, ever.
