The works of Ādi Śaṅkarācārya

Bṛhadāraṇyakopaniṣadbhāṣyam

Verse 147

In plain words

The one who lives inside every direction, yet is nothing the directions can claim as their own, whom the quarters of space never know, whose body they are, who governs them from within -- that is your self, the ruler seated inside everything, and death does not touch him.

Close to the Sanskrit

He who, dwelling in the quarters, is other than the quarters, whom the quarters do not know, whose body the quarters are, who controls the quarters from within -- he is your self, the inner controller, immortal.
