The works of Ādi Śaṅkarācārya

Bṛhadāraṇyakopaniṣadbhāṣyam

Verse 146

In plain words

The one who lives inside the sun, yet is nothing the sun can claim as its own, whom the sun itself never knows, whose body the sun is, who governs the sun from within -- that is your self, the ruler seated inside everything, and death does not touch him.

Close to the Sanskrit

He who, dwelling in the sun, is other than the sun, whom the sun does not know, whose body the sun is, who controls the sun from within -- he is your self, the inner controller, immortal.
