अथैष श्लोको भवति यतश्चोदेति सू-र्योऽस्तं यत्र च गच्छतीति प्राणाद्वा एषउदेति प्राणेऽस्तमेतीति तं देवाश्चक्रिरे धर्म-५स एवाद्य स उ श्व इति यद्वा एतेऽमुह्य-ध्रियन्त तदेवाप्यद्य कुर्वन्ति ।तस्मादेक-मेव व्रतं चरेत्प्राण्याच्चैवापान्याच्च नेन्मापाप्मा मृत्युराप्नुवदिति यद्यु चरेत्समा-पिपयिषेत्तेनो एतस्यै देवतायै सायुज्य५सलोकतां जयति ॥ २३ ॥
In plain words
Now there is this verse: 'That from which the sun rises and into which it sets—truly, it rises from the breath and sets within the breath.' The gods made this the sacred law; it is so today, and it will be so tomorrow. What those ancient beings maintained when confused, they still practice today. Therefore, let a person follow this single vow: let him breathe in and breathe out, lest death in the form of fatigue should overtake him. If he undertakes this vow, he must carry it through to completion. Through this very practice, he attains union and shares the same world with this deity.

Now there is this verse: From which the sun rises and where it goes to setting, from breath indeed this rises, in breath it sets. That the gods made a law, that same today, that tomorrow. Which indeed these maintained when they were bewildered, that they do today also. Therefore one should practice the sole vow: one should inhale and exhale, lest evil death should reach me. If moreover one should practice, one should desire to complete it. By that indeed one wins union and sameness of world with this deity.
