स होवाच गार्ग्यो य एवायं दिक्षु पुरुष एतमेवाहं ब्रह्मोपास इति स हो- वाचाजातशत्रुर्मा मैतस्मिन्संवदिष्ठा द्वि- तीयोऽनपग इति वा अहमेतमुपास इति स य एतमेवमुपास्ते द्वितीयवान्ह भवति नास्माद्गणश्छिद्यते ॥ ११ ॥
In plain words
Gārgya said, "The person we find in the directions—that is the Brahman I worship." Ajātaśatru answered, "Do not speak to me of him. I worship him as the inseparable companion." Whoever meditates on him thus is never left without a companion, and his following is never cut off from him.
Close to the Sanskrit
He said, Gargya: 'This person who is in the directions, him indeed I worship as Brahman.' He said to him, Ajatashatru: 'Do not converse with me about this. As the non-departing second, indeed, I worship this.' He who worships him thus becomes accompanied by a second; his retinue is not cut off from him.
