दिक्षु कर्णयोः हृदि चैका देवता अश्विनौ देवाववियुक्त- स्वभावौ ; गुणस्तस्य द्वितीयवत्त्वम् अनपगत्वम् अवियुक्तता चान्योन्यं दिशामश्विनोश्च एवं धर्मित्वात् ; तदेव च फल- मुपासकस्य- गणाविच्छेदः द्वितीयवत्त्वं च ॥

In the directions, in the ears, and in the heart resides one single deity—the twin gods, the Aśvins, whose nature is never separated. Their attribute is companionship and inseparability, because the directions and the Aśvins share this very nature. And that same quality is the meditator's reward: his following remains unbroken, and he is never left without a companion.

In the directions, in the ears, and in the heart, there is one deity—the two Ashvin gods, whose nature is unseparated. Its attribute is companionship, non-departure, and mutual inseparability of directions and the Ashvins, due to having this nature. And that very thing is the fruit for the meditator—non-severance of the group and companionship.
