ते देवाः ।नन्ववधारणमयुक्तम् ‘प्राणेनैव तदद्यते’ इति, वागादीनामप्यन्ननिमित्तोपकारदर्शनात् ; नैष दोषः, प्राणद्वारत्वात्तदुपकारस्य ।कथं प्राणद्वारकोऽन्नकृतो वागादीनामुपकार इत्येतमर्थं प्रदर्शयन्नाह— ते वागादयो देवाः, स्वविषयद्योतनाद्देवाः, अब्रुवन् उक्तवन्तो मुख्यं प्राणम्— ‘इदम् एतावत्, नातोऽधिकमस्ति ; वा इति स्मरणार्थः ; इदं तत्सर्वमेतावदेव ; किम् ? यदन्नं प्राणस्थितिकरमद्यते लोके, तत्सर्वमात्मने आत्मार्थम्, आगासीः आगीतवानसि आगानेनात्मसात्कृतमित्यर्थः ; वयं चान्न मन्तरेण स्थातुं नोत्सहामहे ; अतः अनु पश्चात्, नः अस्मान्, अस्मिन्नन्ने आत्मार्थेतवान्ने, आभजस्व आभोजयस्व ; णिचोऽश्रवणं छान्दसम् ; अस्मांश्चान्नभागिनः कुरु' ।इतर आह— 'ते यूयं यदि अन्नार्थिनः वै, मा माम्, अभिसंविशत समन्ततो मामा- भिमुख्येन निविशत'— इति एवमुक्तवति प्राणे, तथेति एव- मिति, तं प्राणं परिसमन्तं परिसमन्तात्, न्यविशन्त निश्च- येनाविशन्त, तं प्राणं परिवेष्ट्य निविष्टवन्त इत्यर्थः ।तथा निविष्टानां प्राणानुज्ञया तेषां प्राणेनैवाद्यमानं प्राणस्थितिकरं सदन्नं तृप्तिकरं भवति ; न स्वातन्त्र्येणान्नसंबन्धो वागादी- नाम् ।तस्माद्युक्तमेवावधारणम्— 'अनेनैव तदद्यते' इति ।तदेव चाह— तस्मात् यस्मात्प्राणाश्रयतयैव प्राणानुज्ञया- भिसंनिविष्टा वागादिदेवतास्तस्मात्, यदन्नम्, अनेन प्राणेन, अत्ति लोकः, तेनान्नेन, एता वागाद्याः, तृप्यन्ति ।वागाद्या- श्रयं प्राणं यो वेद्— 'वागादयश्च पञ्च प्राणाश्रयाः' इति, तमप्येवम्, एवं ह वै, स्वा ज्ञातयः, अभिसंविशन्ति वागा- दय इव प्राणम् ; ज्ञातीनामाश्रयणीयो भवतीत्यभिप्रायः ।अभिसंनिविष्टानां च स्वानाम्, प्राणवदेव वागादीनाम्, स्वान्नेन भर्ता भवति ; तथा श्रेष्ठः ; पुरोऽग्रतः, एता गन्ता, भवति, वागादीनामिव प्राणः ; तथा अन्नादोऽनामयावी- त्यर्थः ; अधिपतिरधिष्ठाय च पालयिता स्वतन्त्रः पतिः प्राण-
