तदभिमृशेत्, अनुमन्त्रयेत वा अनुजपेदित्यर्थः ।यदाअभिमृशति, तदा अनामिकाङ्गुष्ठाभ्यां तद्रेत आदत्ते 'आ-ददे' इत्येवमन्तेन मन्त्रेण ; 'पुनर्माम्' इत्येतेन निमृज्यात्अन्तरेण मध्ये भ्रुवौ भ्रुवोर्वा, स्तनौ स्तनयोर्वा ॥
In plain words
'He should touch it' simply means: recite the mantra over it, or murmur it under his breath. The moment he touches it, he lifts that seed with ring finger and thumb, on the words ending 'ādade' — 'I take.' Then, on the words 'back to me,' he wipes it away in between — at the eyebrows, or the breasts, whichever is closer to hand.
Close to the Sanskrit
'He should touch it' — meaning he should recite the accompanying mantra, or murmur it silently. When he touches it, at that time, with the ring finger and thumb he takes up that semen, with the mantra ending in the words 'ādade' ('I take'); with the words 'punar mām' ('back to me'), he should wipe it in between — in the middle, at the eyebrows or between the two eyebrows, or at the breasts or between the two breasts.
