अथ यद्युदक आत्मानं पश्येत्तदभिम-न्त्रयेत मयि तेज इन्द्रियं यशो द्रविणङ्सुकृतमिति श्रीर्ह वा एषा स्त्रीणां यन्म-लोद्वासास्तस्मान्मलोद्वाससं यशस्विनी-मभिक्रम्योपमन्त्रयेत ॥ ६ ॥

If, by chance, he catches sight of his own reflection in water, he should speak this over it: 'Let luster be in me, vigor, fame, wealth, merit.' Here is what makes a woman glorious among women — that she has just set aside her soiled garments. So, going up to a renowned woman fresh from that, he speaks his charm to her.

Now, if he should happen to see his own reflection in water, he should recite over it: 'In me [be] luster, vigor, fame, wealth, merit.' This indeed is the glory of women, that they are free of soiled garments; therefore, having approached a renowned woman free of soiled garments, he should address her [with a mantra].
