क्षत्रे सृष्टेऽपि, स नैव व्यभवत्, कर्मणे ब्रह्म तथा नव्यभवत्, वित्तोपार्जयितुरभावात्; स विशमसृजत कर्म-साधनवित्तोपार्जनाय; कः पुनरसौ विट्? यान्येतानि देव-जातानि— स्वार्थे निष्ठा, य एते देवजातिभेदा इत्यर्थः—गणशः गणं गणम्, आख्यायन्ते कथ्यन्ते— गणप्राया हिविशः; प्रायेण संहता हि वित्तोपार्जने समर्थाः, न एकै-कशः— वसवः अष्टसंख्यो गणः, तथैकादश रुद्राः, द्वा-दश आदित्याः, विश्वे देवाः त्रयोदश विश्वाया अपत्यानि—सर्वे वा देवाः, मरुतः सप्त सप्त गणाः ॥
