Verse 42

स नैव व्यभवत्स विशमसृजत यान्ये-तानि देवजातानि गणश आख्यायन्तेवसवो रुद्रा आदित्या विश्वेदेवा मरुतइति ॥ १२ ॥

In plain words

Even then, Brahman did not expand sufficiently. It then projected forth the common people, represented by those divine groups known in classes as the Vasus, Rudras, Ādityas, Viśvedevas, and Maruts.

That indeed did not expand. He projected forth the mercantile class—these which are designated as classes of gods in groups: Vasus, Rudras, Ādityas, Viśvedevas, Maruts thus.
