सर्वं खल्विदं ब्रह्म तज्जलानिति शान्तउपासीत ।अथ खलु क्रतुमय पुरुषोयथाक्रतुरस्मिँल्लोके पुरुषो भवति तथेतप्रेत्य भवति स क्रतु कुर्वीत ॥ १ ॥
In plain words
All this visible universe is truly Brahman—from whom it arises, into whom it dissolves, and by whom it is sustained. Knowing this, let a person remain tranquil and meditate upon Him. For man is a creature of resolute will; whatever his resolve is in this life, so he becomes when he leaves this world. Therefore, let him direct his resolve toward the Supreme.

All this indeed is Brahman, [known] as tajjalān; let one meditate with a tranquil mind. Now verily, a person consists of resolve; as his resolve is in this world, so he becomes upon departing hence. Therefore, let him form his resolve.
