सर्वकर्मा सर्वकाम सर्वगन्ध सर्वरस' सर्वमिदमभ्यात्तोऽवाक्यनादर एष म आत्मान्तर्हृदय एतद्ब्रह्मैतमितः प्रेत्याभिसंभवितास्मीति यस्य स्यादद्धा न विचिकित्सास्तीति ह स्माह शाण्डिल्य' शाण्डिल्य ॥ ४ ॥

He who performs all cosmic actions, who holds all pure desires, who contains all exquisite fragrances and tastes, who embraces this entire universe in silence, free from all sensory craving—this is the Self within my heart; this is Brahman. 'When I depart from this body, I will surely merge into Him.' One who holds this unwavering conviction, free from all doubt, will indeed attain it. Thus declared the sage Shandilya, yes, thus declared Shandilya.
