अथानु किमनुशिष्टोऽवोचथा यो ही-मानि न विद्यात्कथं सोऽनुशिष्टो ब्रुवी-तेति स हायस्तः पितुरर्धमेयाय तं हो-वाचाननुशिष्य वाव किल मा भगवान्त्र-वीदनु त्वाशिषमिति ॥ ४ ॥

"Then why did you say you were educated when you were not? How can anyone who does not know these things claim to be a scholar?" Distressed, he went to his father and said, "Without fully teaching me, revered father, you told me you had taught me everything."
