A mule-drawn chariot accompanied by gold and maidservants moves forward. He who eats food sees what is dear, eats what is pleasing, and sees the beloved; spiritual brilliance flourishes in the family of one who meditates on this Self as Vaiśvānara. 'This is the eye of the Self,' the king declared, adding: 'You would have been struck blind had you not come to me.'
