एवमेवैष संप्रसादोऽस्माच्छरीरात्समु-त्थाय परं ज्योतिरुपसंपद्य स्वेन रूपेणा-भिनिष्पद्यते स उत्तमपुरुषः स तत्र प-र्येति जक्षत्क्रीडन्रममाणः स्त्रीभिर्वा या-नैर्वा ज्ञातिभिर्वा नोपजनं स्मरन्निदंशरीरं स यथा प्रयोग्य आचरणे युक्तएवमेवायमस्मिञ्छरीरे प्राणो युक्तः ॥ ३ ॥
In plain words
In this very way, this serene spirit rises up from the body, reaches the supreme light, and shines forth in its true nature. That is the supreme person. He moves about there, laughing, playing, and delighting—now with companions, now with chariots, now with kinsmen—no longer mindful of this physical frame. Just as a draft animal is harnessed to its load, so is this vital breath harnessed to the body.

Thus indeed this serene one, having risen up from this body and having attained the supreme light, becomes manifest in his own form; he is the supreme person. He moves about there laughing, playing, rejoicing with women, or with vehicles, or with kinsmen, not remembering this body. As a draft animal is harnessed in work, exactly so is this prāṇa harnessed in this body.
