यद्यप्यस्मिन्सर्पिर्वोदकं वा सिञ्चति, वर्त्मनी एव गच्छति पक्ष्मावेव गच्छति ; न चक्षुषा संबध्यते-पद्मपत्रेणेवोदकम् ।स्थानस्याप्येतन्माहात्म्यम् , किं पुनः स्थानिनोऽक्षिपुरुषस्य निरञ्जनत्वं वक्तव्यमित्यभिप्रायः ॥
In plain words
Even if someone pours ghee or water into the eye, it stays only on the eyelids and eyelashes; it makes no contact with the eye itself, just like water on a lotus leaf. If this is the glory of the physical seat, what more need be said about the utter taintlessness of the indwelling spirit within the eye? This is the core meaning.

Even if someone pours clarified butter or water into this, it goes only to the eyelids, it goes only to the eyelashes; it is not connected with the eye, like water on a lotus leaf. This is the majesty even of the locus; what need is there to speak of the taintlessness of the indwelling person of the eye?—this is the intent.
