In plain words
Sāmba is the god of our house. O Paśupati, O Sāmba — we are yours. Sāmba I praise. Gods, asuras, serpent-hosts: Sāmba carried them all across. To Sāmba let this bow I have made go. Beyond Sāmba I worship nothing at all. I am Sāmba's servant. My love rests in Sāmba, who is the supreme Brahman.

Sāmba is our family deity; O Paśupati, O Sāmba, we are yours. Sāmba I praise; the hosts of gods, asuras and serpents have been carried across by Sāmba. To Sāmba let there be the salutation composed by me; higher than Sāmba I worship nothing at all. Of Sāmba I am the attendant; my delight is in Sāmba, the supreme Brahman.
