In plain words
When will these Hṛṣīkas, these senses of mine, ever come to rest in sāmya, one and the same toward all things? When, Bhavānī, will I stop calling anyone friend or enemy? When will Durāśā-Viṣūcī, this poison of empty longing, be gone for good? When will this Manas of mine die out, root and all?
Close to the Sanskrit
When, ever, will the Hṛṣīkas attain sāmya? When, ever, shall I be neither enemy nor friend, O Bhavānī? When, ever, will Durāśā-Viṣūcī disappear? When, ever, will my Manas perish, root and all?
